Elect Jack Zangari in Ward 3

  • Jack Zangari " It is definitely time for a new voice on Newmarket Council representing the forgotten ward - Ward 3"                                                                                                                                                                                   .
  • We need more funding for revitalization of the Huron Heights area. Jack Zangari
  • Jack wants to see more infrastructure for our business area at the east end of Ward 3
  • Jack Zangari wants to see a Community Hub on the Hollingsworth Arena lands when it ends its life
  • The front land of the Hollingsworth Arena site has plenty of room for features, such as a splash pad and shaded sitting areas
  • Jack's long commitment to Newmarket Minor Hockey Association.

Vision and Platform

  • Attend meetings and town events. Put Ward 3 first at Newmarket Council.
  • Hold meetings in Ward 3 and better communicate with residents.
  • Focus on putting Ward 3 first and ensuring a fair share of town investment into Ward 3
  • Invest in the Harry Walker Parkway area to support local businesses and recruit quality local jobs closer to home
  • Keep Hollingsworth lands public. Invest in splash pads, an outdoor rink and community meeting place once the arena is obsolete. Consider the location for a new library and seniors centre.
  • Enhance the beautiful greenspace at Glen Cedar/Charles Van Zant Park for the enjoyment of all Ward 3 residents
  • Utilize St. Elizabeth, Meadowbrook, Glen Cedar and Huron Heights schools for community use by better working with the school boards.
  • Invest in revitalization of the Davis and Huron Heights area as is occurring in the Gwillimbury Heights area in Ward 4.
  • This next point is up for discussion when I begin knocking on doors, but the idea has been floated recently to expand George Richardson Park and support the Bayview Parkway Extension to Green Lane. This will improve access to the Green Lane GO Station, improve gridlock, expand trails and protect Greenspace along the Holland River. There is also potential to work on a joint recreation centre with East Gwillimbury that would benefit residents of Ward 3. But I want to hear from residents before making a decision.
  • Better utilize George Richardson Park for events and festivals. Bring movies and music to the park and also community barbecues.
  • Fight for more frequent GO Trains to Newmarket, not empty buses.
  • Protect greenspace and established Ward 3 neighbourhoods from developers and irresponsible growth.
  • Support businesses in Ward 3 on Davis, Leslie, Stellar, Ringwell and Harry Walker. Complete sidewalks and invest in badly needed infrastructure on our employment lands along Highway 404. Bring good local jobs closer to home.
